Ten Hag must now unleash Man Utd’s "quality" 7/10 sensation

Erik ten Hag would've wanted a response from his Manchester United stars following an abject display away to Newcastle United last weekend, and the Dutchman certainly got it amid what was a spirited and dominant performance at home to Chelsea in midweek.

While once a clash that decided Premier League titles, Champions League showpieces and FA Cup finals, Wednesday's entertaining encounter pitted two sides against each other who may not even secure a top-four berth this season, such have been their respective woes of late.

For all United's turmoil in 2023/24, however, that 2-1 triumph showcased that they haven't sunk quite as low as the hapless Blues, with the narrow margin of the scoreline somewhat flattering the visitors, in truth, with Ten Hag's men boasting 28 attempts on goal, to their opponents 13.

Although a lack of a cutting edge was still evident from the Old Trafford outfit, up stepped Scott McTominay once again to prove the unlikely hero with a brilliant brace, the Scotland international taking his tally to six goals in all competitions this season.

The 27-year-old was not alone in having shone against Mauricio Pochettino's side, however, with summer signing Sergio Reguilon staking his claim to start against AFC Bournemouth later today.

Sergio Reguilon's game by numbers vs Chelsea

Despite lining up in a centre-back berth at St James' Park, Luke Shaw reverted back to his usual left-back role for the visit of the west Londoners, with Victor Lindelof returning to the fold alongside November Player of the Month, Harry Maguire.

Sergio Reguilon

That more conventional backline lasted merely 45 minutes, however, before Lindelof was duly hooked at the break with the game level, the experienced Swede having been 'on the backfoot' for much of the first half – as per Manchester Evening News journalist, Samuel Luckhurst.

With the former Benfica star sent for an early bath, in came that man Reguilon for the second period, with the "quality" talent – as previously described by pundit Noel Whelan – making a real impression down the left flank, as Shaw once again moved centrally.

The on-loan Tottenham Hotspur man – who was awarded a 7/10 match rating for his troubles by Luckhurst – offered a real outlet in attack after registering two key passes in his 45-minute showing, notably laying the ball to Alejandro Garnacho in the build-up to the game's deciding goal.

The Spaniard also impressively won five of his nine ground duels and also helped to win two fouls for his side, having provided a real injection of energy and impetus following his introduction off the bench.

The changes Ten Hag could make vs Bournemouth

The hope would be that with Lisandro Martinez still sidelined, the former Ajax boss will keep Shaw in place alongside his compatriot Maguire, while then favouring Reguilon at left-back over Diogo Dalot – who endured a tough evening in that role against the Magpies.

Up against an in-form Cherries side – who are unbeaten in their last four league outings – Ten Hag may not wish to rotate his starting XI too heavily following the midweek win, ensuring that one man who won't be making a return is last season's top scorer, Marcus Rashford.

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

The academy graduate was hooked on the hour mark against Newcastle before finding himself on the bench last time out, with young Garnacho, in his place, providing the assist for McTominay's crucial clincher.

With Brazilian enigma, Antony, also impressing on the opposite side – having been described as "electric" by Statman Dave for his performance on the right flank – it is hard to see a role for Rashford in the side, even with Rasmus Hojlund once again failing to fire through the middle.

As such, while the lively Reguilon could provide a shake-up on the left against Andoni Iraola's men, Rashford will likely be restricted to watching brief for the second game in succession.

Rangers player suffers new mystery injury as update emerges from Ibrox

Four wins from five and their place confirmed in the Scottish Cup final, it's fair to say that Rangers have got off to a good start under new boss Philippe Clement. The former AS Monaco man has breathed new life into the Scottish Premiership giants, who may yet have a say in Celtic's pursuit of a third consecutive title and a first since the return of Brendan Rodgers.

With games coming thick and fast, Clement will simply be hoping to see the Gers continue their fine form and unbeaten run for as long as possible. That may prove more difficult, however, after recent injury news emerged to deal the new manager a frustrating blow.

Rangers injury news

Clement has already had to deal with several Rangers injuries during the early days of his tenure. The Belgian has been without John Souttar, Borna Barisic, Dujon Sterling, Nicolas Raskin and Rabbi Matondo at various stages in what has been a difficult few weeks when it comes to finding consistent options. Those absences make Clement's start all the more impressive, however, and beg the question as to just how good the Gers will be when the new manager has a full squad available.

The answer to that question looks unlikely to come anytime soon, though, with Clement confirming more Rangers injury news. The manager said, via Four Lads Had a Dream: “Ahead of Prague, You want to build from game to game, you want to give players a chance but we miss a few from the European squad. One player is unavailable but I will not tell you who. Minor [injury] but may not make it Thursday or Sunday.”

With that said, only time will tell just who it is that Rangers will be missing for their next Europa League clash, as Clement continues to remain coy over his squad's availability.

Rangers team news vs Sparta Prague

Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack.

With the chance to potentially move top of Group C with a win over Sparta Prague, Clement must get his Rangers selection right from the players that he has at his disposal. The new boss has already faced the Czech Republic side in charge of the Gers, of course, when they held them to a 0-0 draw in Prague in just his second game in charge. Now on four points, two points adrift of group leaders Real Betis, Rangers have the chance to lay down a marker halfway through the group stage.

Having eased past Hearts to progress into the final of the Scottish League Cup last time out, the likes of Danilo and Ryan Jack could keep their starting place, whilst Cyriel Dessers may well get an opportunity to feature at some stage.

If the Scottish giants can go one better than their previous away day by defeating Sparta Prague, then it will show just how much they've improved in such little time since the arrival of Clement. Even without what is currently an unknown injury, the Gers have the opportunity to make it six games without defeat under their new boss.

Olly Stone named in England ODI squad as cover for Liam Plunkett's wedding clash

Warwickshire fast bowler set for maiden tour, as Alex Hales and Ben Stokes are both picked ahead of December’s disciplinary hearing

The Warwickshire fast bowler Olly Stone has been given his first opportunity to impress in England colours, after being named in a 16-man squad for the five-match ODI series in Sri Lanka which gets underway in Dambulla on October 10.Stone, who turns 25 on the eve of the first match, is the only uncapped player in the tour party, and a strong candidate to feature in next week’s Test squad too, having made a strong impression in his maiden season at Edgbaston following his move from Northamptonshire at the end of 2017.Since recovering from a horrific knee injury in June 2016 – he damaged his anterior cruciate ligament while celebrating the wicket of Moeen Ali in a T20 Blast tie at Wantage Road – Stone has consistently been one of the fastest bowlers on the county circuit. He claimed career-best figures of 8 for 80 in his first home Championship appearance for Warwickshire in April, as well as a further 12 wickets at 28.61 in the Royal London Cup – and he could be given the chance to fill Liam Plunkett’s crucial role of mid-innings enforcer, with Plunkett set to miss the first three matches of the tour because of his forthcoming wedding.England ODI squad v Sri Lanka

Eoin Morgan (capt), Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Liam Dawson, Alex Hales, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, Olly Stone, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood

Mark Wood, whose international summer was interrupted by a recurrence of his longstanding heel problem, is also back in contention, as is Chris Woakes, who missed the last two Tests against India following a quad strain. With David Willey missing the Sri Lanka trip due to a back injury, Sam Curran offers a like-for-like replacement as a left-arm swing bowler and hard-hitting allrounder, although he would doubtless have earned a call-up regardless, in the wake of his stellar display in the Test series against India.Sam’s brother Tom is also back to fitness and back in the squad after a side strain ruled him out of the one-day leg of England’s summer, which means that both Curran brothers could yet feature in the same England team for the first time in their brief careers. With a surfeit of allrounders to back up England’s established top-order, there is no place for Kent’s captain Sam Billings, who has been a regular member of England’s recent limited-overs squads but who failed to take his chances against Scotland and Australia earlier this summer. On the slow-bowling front, England’s selectors resisted the temptation to blood a young spinner alongside the established pairing of Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid – Lancashire’s Matt Parkinson might have been a contender – and have instead opted for the allround prowess of Hampshire’s Liam Dawson, who last featured for England in the T20 triangular against Australia in New Zealand in February. His most recent ODI was against Pakistan at Cardiff in September 2016.As expected, both Ben Stokes and Alex Hales have been included in the squad in spite of their impending ECB disciplinary hearing. The pair will attend a private hearing in front of a three-man Cricket Discipline Commission panel on December 5 and 7, after being charged with bringing the game into disrepute following an incident outside a Bristol nightclub last September.A separate squad will be named for the one-off T20 against Sri Lanka in Colombo on October 27, which may offer the selectors a chance to assess the merits of a few more young contenders, not least Pat Brown, the 20-year-old star of Worcestershire’s T20 Blast triumph.

Simplifying action R Ashwin's remedy for 'bad habits'

R Ashwin has consciously worked on deceiving batsmen in the air over the last 18 months. He revealed this in a chat with India’s bowling coach Bharat Arun on after picking up four wickets on the opening day of the Edgbaston Test. Varying his speeds, he observed, has also been key to his reinvention as an offspinner. Before the start of the ongoing series, Ashwin had just three wickets in two Tests in England (both during the 2014 tour), at 33.66. Last year, Ashwin picked up 20 wickets in four matches for Worcestershire in the County Championship. He underlined the importance of this stint in understanding his bowling on slow, unresponsive English surfaces.”When I came here for the county stint last year, the one thing I realised was the speed at which a spinner had to bowl here,” Ashwin said. “The wickets are extremely slow, even on the first day. You can have a bit of bounce, but if the pace is not right the batsmen have a lot of time to play the same ball on the front and the back foot. That’s something I realised very quickly when I came here.”On Wednesday, Ashwin’s average speed was 88 kph. He largely varied his deliveries between 86 and 93kph. Although he fired in the odd quick delivery, the two key wickets of Alastair Cook and Jos Buttler came when he slowed them down. The speed on Cook’s delivery – which drew him forward, beat him for length with dip in the air, and then spun past his outside edge – was pegged at 86kph, while Buttler’s was at 85kph.With the pitch having a brownish tinge with some dry grass, there was barely any turn barring the first hour in the morning when there was some dampness. This allowed Ashwin to get some grip and turn as he consistently landed it on the seam.Getty Images

Working hard on “simplifying his action”, he says, has helped bring dividends. “Even over the last 12 to 18 months back home, I’ve spent a lot of time playing club cricket and all that sort of stuff,” he said. “I’ve been working on simplifying my action a bit, and making sure that I can get more body into the ball so that I can create something in the air. That’s what I did, and it worked really well.”Ashwin recounted a conversation with Arun and head coach Ravi Shastri last year, when they discussed the use of the body in his action, to enable him to beat batsmen in the air. “You were of course privy to the conversation, with me, yourself and Ravi ,” he told Arun. “We’ve always spoken about having to take the pitch out of the equation, especially with how good the wickets are and how the modern-day batsmen really enjoy playing on these wickets.”Incidentally, it was Arun worked with Ashwin on his load-up a few years ago to solve persistent issues with his alignment at the bowling crease. The change allowed him to be better-balanced at delivery, transfer his momentum towards the batsman, and consequently impart more spin.Ashwin was also honest enough to point out that “bad habits” had crept into his bowling action previously, despite getting a bagful of wickets at home. “I think to a large extent that particular thing of doing batsmen in the air is something I’ve consciously worked upon,” he said. “But what happens when you’re trying to do (deceive) batsmen in the air is that the body sometimes just gives up.”You are a touch short or a touch fuller. In one of those pursuits, I thought simplifying my action was very important. Because I went through a very good phase of bowling with a particular action, and hence a lot of bad habits had crept in with my arms coming in and all that. We spoke about it as well (he and Arun). Those are the things I’ve had to really work against my own will and try and tell myself that I had to work on my action again.”

Liverpool: Klopp’s ‘world-class’ Anfield titan could inspire a title charge

Joel Matip haplessly scooped the ball into his own net with but moments until the final whistle, but Liverpool will condemn mistakes of a far greater weight as Jurgen Klopp's side rue the ineptitude of officials in defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Reds have started the 2023/24 campaign with the strength and solidarity that has been intrinsic to the success of this squad since Klopp's appointment way back when, and while a seven-match winning streak across all competitions and an unbeaten start to the term has been cruelly snapped, there are positives to be recovered from the grimy debris of an inconsolable evening.

Liverpool remain in fourth place in the Premier League and just two points off leaders Manchester City, who lost to Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier in the day, and indeed, the spirit on display was reminiscent of the formidable outfit that swept the whole gamut of silverware under Klopp's leadership.

Once again, were it not for the heroic shot-stopping efforts of Alisson, Liverpool might not be nursing such a profound sense of injustice, with the Brazilian undisputably the "the best" between the sticks right now, as was said by 90min's Scott Saunders.

How did Alisson perform against Tottenham?

In London, he made a whopping eight saves – including wondrous stretching stops from a curling effort from James Maddison and an instinctive hand from the free-scoring Heung-min Son.

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson.

Signed from Roma for £67m in 2018 – a world record for a goalkeeper at the time – the 30-year-old certainly didn't come cheap, but are there truly many Premier League acquisitions for such a lofty fee to have eclipsed the impact he has had behind the rearguard of the Merseyside club's defence.

When the wounds inflicted on a dreary night against the Lilywhites – who continue their resounding revival under Ange Postecoglou – are healed, the Reds will be emboldened in their pursuit of silverware, and with Alisson in goal, they truly boast the armour to achieve such ambitious goals.

While Alisson deservedly received praise for his efforts, the return to full strength of Virgil van Dijk must not go under the radar; after several years of ebbing and flowing from his best for different reasons, the Dutchman looks a dominant force in central defence again.

How is Virgil van Dijk playing this season?

That's not to say he was ever awful, rather, a detrimental injury suffered against Everton in 2020 had hindered his relentless presence at the back, and now, Van Dijk really does look to have hit his zenith again.

Spurs, despite having a two-man advantage for around 25 minutes, failed to truly exert their dominance on proceedings, rebuffed by a resolute Reds defence that simply refused to give up.

Virgil Van Dijk Liverpool

Recording a joint-match-high Sofascore rating of 8.4 – alongside Spurs' Pedro Porro – the £220k-per-week colossus made eight clearances, blocked six shots and committed two tackles and interceptions apiece, also winning 100% of his duels and completing 95% of his passes.

On top of his defensive brilliance, the 32-year-old expertly nodded down the ball on the stroke of half-time to hand Liverpool a deserved equaliser after a pivoting strike from Cody Gakpo, who injured himself in the process.

Sustaining such supreme showings, the "world-class" defender, as has been said by pundit Darren Bent, could yet inspire a return to glory for his club this season.

While the bitter defeat hurts, Liverpool have displayed their glittering credentials in the most courageous and stoical of performances, and the sun will shine on Anfield again with this crop of players plying their trade under Klopp's management.

Wolves: Old Gold would love to have £44m Nuno Santo star in their team now

Wolverhampton Wanderers have seen a countless amount of talent grace the pitch at Molineux over the years, however, the glory days of Nuno Santo now seem painfully long ago.

Gary O’Neil was handed a strenuous task when he took the reins from Julen Lopetegui just four days prior to the Old Gold’s 2023/24 Premier League opener, after a woeful summer at the club.

Financial restrictions meant that Wolves were unable to sign worthy replacements for the star sales they made in the market, at a time when profit was integral to balancing the books due to Financial Fair Play rulings.

Now, O’Neil must tackle the struggles on the field with a depleted squad, that he described as being “£80m short” due to the high-profile departures during the transfer window.

A stunning win over Manchester City may have injected some positivity into the club, at long last, but problems still lie within the foundations, namely in the transfer market. Yet, this past summer wasn't the only time we've seen a high-profile departure from Wolverhampton; just ask Diogo Jota.

How much did Wolves sign Diogo Jota for?

Rewind to the summer of 2020, and Wolves had just bid farewell to Jota in a deal worth £41m as he endeavoured on a new challenge to Liverpool.

In the 2017/18 campaign, the Portuguese forward spent the season on loan at Molineux from Atletico Madrid, before making his move permanent for a fee in the region of €14m (£12m) aged just 21 years old.

It didn’t take long for the Porto-born winger to settle into his new surroundings in England, as he netted 17 Championship goals during a mesmerising debut campaign with his form assisting his side to gain promotion in 2018.

Earning £55k-per-week in the Midlands, Jota settled in well to Nuno’s ambitious squad and played an integral part in the top-flight and the club’s Europa League journey two seasons after their promotion.

What was Jota’s market value at Wolves?

Considering how quickly he adapted to life at Wolves, with chairman Jeff Shi dubbing him an “important player” during his loan period, it was an expected element to his rise that his market value would follow suit.

As per Football Transfers, Jota’s expected transfer value (xTV) was recorded at €18.1m (£15.6m) at the point of his permanent move to the club, with it hitting a magnificent high of €55.1m (£47.7m) at Wolves in the summer of 2020.

The versatile forward, once lauded as “clinical” by journalist Callum Vurley, gave Molineux much to cheer about during his total of three years at the club, as highlighted by the jump in his value from his loan spell.

How many goals did Jota score?

The 33-capped Portugal international continued his form in the Championship by translating it into the top flight, having a hand in 14 Premier League goals in the 2018/19 season, scoring nine and assisting five.

Wolves pulled off the remarkable by finishing seventh in their debut campaign back in the top tier, subsequently placing them in the qualification round of the Europa League in the 2019/20 term.

Jota led the way for his side to secure their place in the finals of the tournament, scoring three goals and registering five assists in his six appearances in the qualifiers.

In the 2019/20 Europa League, the former Atletico ace scored six goals in eight games, which came in the form of back-to-back hat tricks in the competition against Besiktas and Espanyol.

The Old Gold reached the quarter-finals of the tournament thanks to the form of Nuno’s front line, with Jota being one of the main men to thank for his contribution that season, where he also netted seven Premier League goals.

Why did Wolves sell Jota?

Unfortunately, the Portuguese gem’s tally was not consistent, despite the adequate numbers.

As a result of patches without scoring towards the end of the season, Nuno opted to bench the 24-year-old in favour of other attackers in the opening game of the 2020/21 season, where he remained an unused substitute.

Luckily for the player, his poor spells were overcast by his dazzling moments, which saw him get picked up by Liverpool in a deal that had Wolves dreaming as they received a healthy cheque of £41m for his services.

At the point of his departure, the forward was not deemed the player he once was at Molineux, which was quickly shown to be false news as he scored five goals in his opening eight Premier League fixtures for the Reds.

Once named as “quality” by The Athletic’s James Pearce, Jota hit his highest league-scoring tally in the 2021/22 Premier League campaign, netting 15 and assisting six in 35 appearances, leaving Wolves wondering where such form was in his later days at Molineux.

What is Jota’s market value now?

In 2021, the £140k-per-week Anfield star’s expected transfer value hit its summit, recording a value of €74.6m (£64.5m) as he continued to thrive under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp.

Shortly after his arrival, Klopp was full of praise for the former Wolves sensation, calling him an “exceptional” talent and the “perfect signing” for the squad he was building.

This season has started in the usual fashion for Jota, scoring two goals in seven appearances for the Reds in 2023/24, with his current market value beaming at €50.5m (£44m).

What could Jota have offered to Wolves today?

At the time, Wolves couldn’t fault the deal they sanctioned to offload Jota, considering his inconsistency and the price that Liverpool put on the table.

Looking back from now, the versatile striker is something O’Neil’s side are yearning for, as the squad has been stripped almost bare of star quality that is capable of difference-making moments.

The money received for Jota made the move a no-brainer, however, the Old Gold find themselves today in a financial rut and with a squad unable to score sufficiently, as highlighted by their mere 31 goals in 38 games last term.

Despite ending the campaign as the league’s lowest-scorers, Lopetegui ensured Wolves remained in the top flight, a feat that will be increasingly difficult to follow if circumstances stay the same throughout the year.

Averaging 0.52 non-penalty goals per 90 over the past year, Jota could have eased the difficulties in front of goal if things had worked out differently, with the squad averaging 0.82 goals per match in 2022/23, telling of how desperately they require a goalscorer.

The same way that Arsenal would yearn for Thierry Henry and Chelsea for Didier Drogba, Wolves could be in an entirely different scenario if Jota was still at the club, however, the prospect is now a thing of dreams in Molineux’s nightmare.

Uganda bounce back to wallop Bermuda

Uganda captain Roger Mukasa’s 97 laid the platform for a 189-run thrashing of Bermuda a day after a bitter nine-run loss to Malaysia

The Report by Peter Della Penna30-Apr-2018Uganda’s Roger Mukasa plays to the off side•IDI/Getty

Captain Roger Mukasa singlehandedly outscored the opposition at UKM-YSD Oval, his 97 for Uganda laying the platform for a 189-run walloping of Bermuda a day after a bitter nine-run loss to Malaysia at WCL Division Four. Mukasa repelled the Bermuda attack after being sent in at the toss, adding 137 for the second wicket with Hamu Kayondo (55 off 95 balls) to set up an easily defendable total. For the second day in a row, star allrounder Kamau Leverock was left out of the Bermuda lineup for disciplinary reasons. A source informed ESPNcricinfo that Bermuda team management investigated whether they would possibly be allowed a replacement player in their 14-man tournament squad for non-injury reasons, presumably in relation to Leverock after his tirade at team training on Saturday, but were denied.Without Leverock’s runs at the top of the order, Bermuda struggled badly once again as Uganda opened their defence of 249 by using two spinners with the new ball. The strategy was near flawless on what has proven to be a spinners paradise in UKM-YSD Oval’s early days as an international venue as Mohammed Irfan and Frank Nsubuga shredded the Bermuda line-up, both men bowling unbroken ten-over spells to leave Bermuda 51 for 8 after 20 overs.Irfan claimed career-best figures of 6 for 23 while Nsubuga kept pressure at the other end and finished with 2 for 27. Uganda didn’t bowl a single ball of pace in the match as Henry Ssenyondo and Brian Masaba took over from Irfan and Nsubuga to split the last two wickets to bowl Bermuda out for 60 in 21.4 overs. The significant net run rate impact for each side means Uganda is still very much in the promotion hunt at 1-1 while Bermuda will have a very difficult time avoiding relegation at 0-2 as they are yet to face Jersey and Denmark, two of the pre-tournament favourites.

Man United: Club officials on their way to scout "amazing" new target

Manchester United scouts have travelled today to watch an exciting talent who has also attracted interest from a number of clubs in England and around Europe, according to reports.

What's the latest news involving Manchester United?

Speaking to The Athletic, former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has criticised some of his ex-players and their character in times where the going got tough, stating: "Some weren't as good as their own perception of themselves. I won't name names, but I was very disappointed when a couple turned down the chance to be captain. I was also disappointed when others said they wouldn't play or train because they wanted to force their way out."

He then added: "When you have a group you need everyone to pull in the same direction. When things didn't go right, you could see certain players and egos came out."

Of course, Manchester United have now lost their last three successive fixtures in all competitions against Arsenal, Brighton & Hove Albion and Bayern Munich, respectively, which has piled the pressure on Red Devils' boss Erik Ten Hag to turn things around following a poor start to this term.

On the takeover front, Sky Sports report that both Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al Thani are still keen to purchase the club despite complications in the takeover process.

United midfielder meanwhile Scott McTominay could be allowed to push through an exit from Old Trafford in January as he is not believed to be pivotal to squad plans at the Premier League giants, according to Football Insider. Bayern Munich were linked with a swoop for the Scotland international in the summer and the 26-year-old is reportedly keen to force a move to ensure he is regularly involved at first-team level ahead of EURO 2024.

Who could Manchester United look to sign?

According to HLN via Sport Witness, Manchester United are one of a number of clubs to have sent scouts to watch Club Brugge attacker Antonio Nusa in the flesh against Besiktas on Thursday, who will also be observed by Premier League pair Chelsea and Arsenal.

Marseille, Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid will also send officials to watch the highly-rated Norway international, who has been described as "amazing" and dubbed "The Norwegian Mbappé" by Talent Scout Jacek Kulig.

Club Brugge'sAntonioNusacelebrates scoring their fourth goal with Casper Nielsen

Primarily operating off the left-hand side, Nusa has managed to register two goals and three assists from 11 appearances in all competitions this term, as per Transfermarkt. In the Jupiler Pro League, Nusa has been able to emphasise his excellent ball-carrying skills so far in 2023/24, averaging around four dribbles per 90 minutes in the Belgian top-flight, according to WhoScored.

Manchester United are in a predicament regarding their options on the flanks, with Antony and Jadon Sancho both not in the first-team picture for reasons that have been well-documented in media circles. Facundo Pellestri started for the Red Devils against Bayern Munich in the Champions League; nevertheless, it is clear that Manchester United could use some depth in the wide areas and Nusa could be an exciting addition to the ranks.
