Natural de Niterói, no Rio de Janeiro, o atacante começou a carreira nas categorias de base do Fluminense e despontou como uma das revelações do clube carioca. Além disso, acumulou convocações para a Seleção Brasileira de base, naturalizou-se e também defendeu equipes de base em Portugal.

Na temporada de 2019, disputou o Torneio de Toulon, na França, e deixou a sua marca na vitória sobre a Inglaterra por 3 a 2 e foi campeão do Torneio Internacional do Porto Sub-18, sendo decisivo com gols.

Com a camisa do Fluminense, balançou as redes seis vezes e deu cinco assistências em 35 jogos. No ano seguinte, foram oito gols e seis assistências em 42 partidas. Em 2021, despediu-se da equipe carioca e foi contratado pelo Atlético de Madrid, da Espanha. Em sua chegada, foi indicado ao prêmio Golden Boy, organizado pelo jornal Tuttosport, da Itália, e integrou a lista com os 100 melhores jovens jogadores sub-21 que atuam na Europa.

  Responding to a survey created and commissioned by CLUB game, the new football owner mobile game, 2,000 football fans had their say, with 33 per cent of them voting United as the worst run Premier League side. Everton and Chelsea are joint-second with seven per cent and Arsenal are fourth with six per cent of the vote. This was based on a club's strategy, leadership, finances and fan engagement.

وقال وليد صلاح الدين، في تصريحات لبرنامج ملعب أون، على قناة أون سبورتس: “دعوات الأهلاوية، مسؤولية كبيرة تحتاج لعمل كبير، أريد أن أشكر منظومة نادي زد، رأيت كل الخير في هذا المكان على مدار ما يقرب من 4 سنوات”.

وتابع: “من 4 سنوات اتفقت مع زد وكانت تصل لي عروضًا كبيرة جدًا، وقلت لمسؤولي زد أنا لن أرحل إلا لأحد المكانين إما الأهلي أو منتخب مصر، بإذن الله سأجتهد بكل ما أوتيت من قوة لكي أنجح وربنا يسهل إن شاء الله”.

وكشف: “أنا في دبي الآن وسأعود وأجلس مع الكابتن محمود الخطيب، الأهلي عندما يطلب أحدًا من أبنائه الجميع سيركضون لرد الجميل، أنا تاريخي كله في النادي الأهلي وكل الخير الذي أنا فيه من النادي الأهلي، ومن المهم رد الجميل، وسأحاول أن أخرج كل الخبرات التي تعلمتها”.

وأضاف: “نحن من أول يوم في زد اتفقنا على العمل الصحيح، والثبات الانفعالي وكانت هناك معوقات كثيرة وكنا هادئين، وهذا الهدوء يجعلك تتخطى المرحلة الصعبة، عملنا بشكل جيد وأظن أن زد وضع اسمه في الدوري والناس كلها تحبه”.

وأكمل: “النادي الأهلي كبير القارة، العالم كله يريد أن يتعامل معه، الناس لم تكن تصدق إن زد يضع قدمه في الدوري المصري، واشتغلنا مع زد إننا نتعامل مع الأهلي والزمالك وبيراميدز وكل الأندية في الصفقات”.

وواصل: “أن تأتي متأخرًا أفضل من ألا تأتي، كان حلم عندي من زمان أن أتولى المنصب في الأهلي، وكان ممكن يكون مبكرًا عن ذلك، لكن إن شاء الله يكون التوقيت مناسب”.

وأتم: “لست قلقًا وواثق 100% لأن النادي الأهلي يمتلك كل شيء، جمهور الأهلي واثق إنك وإنت مع الأهلي لا تقلق، معك رئيس نادي تاريخي ولاعبين هم الأفضل في إفريقيا، وإن شاء الله عماد النحاس يكون موفقًا، وتوفق الإدارة في التعاقد مع مدير فني قوي”.
