O vascaíno deu a resposta – completou.

"Told" – Fabrizio Romano shares news Arsenal fans "have been keen to know"

Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has shared a transfer update which he says Arsenal supporters "have been keen to know more about".

Who have Arsenal signed 2023?

Mikel Arteta's side enjoyed their most ambitious summer transfer window to date in preparation for the 2023/2024 Premier League season.

Indeed, the Gunners sealed deals for club-record signing Declan Rice, defender Jurrien Timber, forward Kai Havertz and sweeper keeper David Raya with the four arrivals costing north of £200 million in total.

Arsenal's big-spending window showcased their determination to challenge Man City for yet another domestic crown, coming after they fell just short of the imperious treble-winners last campaign.

The north Londoners also had to ship fringe members of the squad out the other way, in an attempt to balance the books and free up squad space for Arteta.

Arsenal managed to ship a load of unwanted players out either permanently, temporarily or on a free transfer over the last three months.

The list includes Folarin Balogun, Granit Xhaka, Matt Turner, Auston Trusty, Pablo Mari, Kieran Tierney, Rob Holding, Nuno Tavares, Marquinhos, Nicolas Pepe, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Albert Sambi Lokonga.

What's the latest Arsenal transfer news?

Arteta's side are reportedly gearing up for January already and could even make a move for Sporting Lisbon starlet Ousmane Diomande once we hit 2024.

The Turkish transfer window is also still open for business, meaning other Arsenal players could well depart if any side shows enough interest before September 15.

One player to be linked with a move to Turkey recently is midfielder Jorginho, who put pen to paper on a move to the Emirates Stadium in January this year.

The Italian's contract expires in June 2024, though; meaning Arsenal have to decide whether they sell now, in the winter or let him leave for free next year.

Romano, sharing an update for CaughtOffside, now has some news on the matter.

He claims that there is actually no chance of Jorginho leaving this week, despite reported interest from Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbache.

“I’m also told there is no chance of Jorginho leaving for a late move to Turkey after some speculation about interest from Fenerbahce," said Romano.

“Arsenal fans have been keen to know more about this, but honestly, from everything I’m hearing, Jorginho was never close to Turkish league move this summer, it was never an option. He’s staying.”

How good is Jorginho?

Arsenal midfielder Jorginho

The former Chelsea ace was once a star at Stamford Bridge, as explained by ex-Blues boss Thomas Tuchel in the summer of 2021.

"Jorgi is a very strategic player," said Tuchel.

"He knows what to do in possession, he can imagine what is going to happen one or two passes ahead and he knows where to help out in short distances and longer distances.

"He knows when to switch the play and not to switch the play. He has a good sense of rhythm. He organises the environment around him and that allows him to show his true abilities in controlling the rhythm of a game.

"As well as this, he is relentless in defence. He wants to help everywhere on the pitch. He has a huge ability to run a lot for the team. Maybe he lacks the high speeds, but he compensates with a lot of work-rate and anticipation in his defensive work."

Everton could replace Alex Iwobi with ‘electric" £25m signing

Everton are pushing for a positive finish to the summer transfer window after a dismal start to the 2023/24 Premier League season, with Sean Dyche's side looking to beat acrimonious rivals Liverpool to a talented attacker.

Who could Everton sign on transfer deadline day?

According to Football Insider, Everton are joined in their interest in PSV Eindhoven by Crystal Palace and Jurgen Klopp's Reds, with the Eredivisie outfit holding out for more than £25m for the precocious talent.

The Dutch side dispatched Rangers in the Champions League qualifying round to earn a place in the group stage proper, strengthening PSV's hold on the winger.

And while Fabrizio Romano claims Brentford are closing in on a move, Everton have been working on a swoop of their own and will hope that the prospect of cementing an instant starring role at Goodison Park could sway the 20-year-old to join the fold and spearhead a resurgence.

What are Johan Bakayoko's strengths?

Everton have been busy across the summer transfer window, signing Ashley Young, Arnaut Danjuma, Youssef Chermiti and Beto, but given that they finished the 2022/23 term 17th – as the second-lowest scorers – it is understandable that Dyche hopes to reform the attack.

Read the latest Everton transfer news HERE…

Especially after losing their first three matches of the current campaign, having failed to score across each encounter despite playing Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers at Goodison Park.

The £30m signing of centre-forward Beto could prove to catalyse the club's frontline, with the Portuguese forward already off the mark after scoring against Doncaster Rovers in the Carabao Cup on his debut last night, but a signing of Bakayoko's ilk could add an exciting new dimension to the wide channels.

PSV Eindhoven forwardJohan Bakayoko.

The 20-year-old enjoyed a tremendous breakout year last season, scoring seven goals and supplying five assists; this year, he has already posted four assists from his first seven outings of the term, setting up two goals against Rangers at Ibrox.

He's already attracting significant praise for his performances, with renowned scout Jacek Kulig among the admirers, saying: "Wonderful talent, fantastic left foot. Madueke-esque. Stay tuned."

As per FBref, the four-cap Belgium international ranks among the top 7% of attacking midfielders and wingers across the eight leagues most similar to the Eredivisie for assists, the top 10% for shot-creating actions, the top 1% for progressive carries and the top 5% for successful take-ons per 90.

Such a creative force with an "electric" presence – as also praised by Kulig – could prove to be the perfect heir to Alex Iwobi, with the Toffees midfielder attracting attention from Fulham as deadline day looms.

Indeed, according to Sky Sports' transfer insider Dharmesh Sheth, the Cottagers are in "advanced talks" with Everton over the signing of the Nigeria international, who has entered the final year of his contract at Goodison Park.

Everton's Alex Iwobi

The 27-year-old was integral for the Merseyside outfit in their bid for survival last year, scoring twice and providing eight assists for a team bereft of attacking intent – indeed, he was hailed as his side's "inspiration" by The Times' Henry Winter.

The winger-turned-midfielder thrived in his central role last term, but has spent the opening phase of the current term on the left flank, and Bakayoko could now be the perfect replacement or even an upgrade.

If reports are to be believed, Everton would only grant a departure if their £20m (at least) valuation is met, and with Fulham in advanced negotiations, this suggests that an agreement on price has been found.

Dyche must ensure that Bakayoko is signed, with his prodigious qualities sure to provide the beleaguered outfit with an element unseen at Goodison Park for some time.

MCG pitch rated poor by ICC

Australian cricket has been embarrassed by the ICC rating the MCG drop-in pitch for the Boxing Day Ashes Test as “poor” following a dull draw in which only 24 wickets were taken over five days

Daniel Brettig02-Jan-2018Australian cricket has been embarrassed by the ICC rating the MCG drop-in pitch for the Boxing Day Ashes Test as “poor” following a dull draw in which only 24 wickets were taken over five days.It is the first time an Australian international pitch has been rated poor and it has come soon after the drop-in surface for the women’s Ashes Test at North Sydney Oval in November was labelled “below average” for also failing to provide conditions conducive to playing attractive cricket. Cricket Australia has 14 days in which to provide a response to the ICC.”We were disappointed that the traditional characteristics of the MCG pitch did not come to the fore during the Boxing Day Test,” CA chief executive James Sutherland said. “We work closely with all our venues to encourage the best possible international cricket playing environment.”We are looking for the right balance between bat and ball, and pitch and ground conditions in keeping with the venue’s traditional characteristics. Such a rating is extremely disappointing for all involved. We’ll be taking on board advice from the ICC, players and relevant experts to work with the Melbourne Cricket Club to ensure this rating is not repeated.”While the Melbourne Cricket Club has already indicated its intention to review the process by which the MCG strip turned out to provide such little assistance for both batsmen and bowlers, the match referee Ranjan Madugalle did not shrink from calling them out for producing a substandard pitch for on which to play arguably the highest profile Test match of the year.”The bounce of the MCG pitch was medium, but slow in pace and got slower as the match progressed,” Madugalle said. “The nature of the pitch did not change over the five days and there was no natural deterioration. As such, the pitch did not allow an even contest between the bat and the ball as it neither favoured the batsmen too much nor it gave the bowlers sufficient opportunity to take wickets.”Melbourne Tests have been played on drop-in pitches since the dawn of the 21st century, and have typically needed to start with dampness under the surface to ensure early assistance for bowlers before the drying process offers up enough variable pace and bounce to challenge batsmen – they are commonly best for batsmen late in the game. However, this pitch was prepared against a backdrop of change, with the former curator David Sandurski moving north to Brisbane before his replacement Matthew Page was due to arrive. That left preparation in the hands of the arena operations manager Michael Salvatore, who erred on the side of caution in terms of the amount of grass left on the pitch and also in the rolling of it. Following the conclusion of the Test, the MCC chief executive Stuart Fox said all elements of the event would be reviewed.”While this Test pitch did produce a good contest, it has not contained the bounce and pace that we expected. As the game progressed, the surface did not deteriorate nor bring the level of unpredictability that was anticipated,” Fox said. “We review all elements of our performance at the conclusion of every event, and the quality of the pitch is no exception.”We will take on board feedback from the players, umpires and cricket bodies, as well as our own observations. Our new head curator, Matthew Page, will take on pitch preparation duties in the coming weeks and we look forward to his input. Overall, we remain confident and determined to produce portable wickets that generate entertaining Test cricket. Portable pitches have been used at the MCG for more than 20 years and drawn Tests have been a rarity in that time.”Getty ImagesThe pitch was criticised by players and coaches on both sides virtually before the Test had begun. Australian captain Steven Smith said on match eve that it had looked ready to play on “three days ago”. After day one, England swing bowler James Anderson remarked: “You’d think that the 90,000 that turned up today don’t want to see 244 for 3. I know it wasn’t exciting to watch, it wasn’t exciting to play in when it’s that attritional cricket, but there’s not a lot we can do about it. That’s the pitch that we’ve got for the next five days and we have to deal with it.”At the end of the game, Smith spoke for players on both sides in remarking on how featureless the pitch had been. “It’s got to find a way to have some pace and bounce or take some spin or do something,” he said. “We saw some reverse swing but the ball just gets so soft so quickly because the surface is quite hard. It gets soft, doesn’t carry through and it’s really difficult to get people out. I just don’t think it’s good for anyone.”James Sutherland, the CA chief executive, has said that the character of pitches is vital to the health of Test cricket in particular, while the team performance manager Pat Howard has been glimpsed in lengthy conversation with both the incoming MCG curator Page after the Melbourne Test ended and with the SCG groundstaff ahead of the New Year’s Test in Sydney. “Pitches are incredibly important to the future of Test cricket,” Sutherland had told . “We need to provide an entertaining contest, we need to provide a balance between bat and ball.”The SCG’s pitch is part of a natural wicket block rather than a drop-in surface, and the Cricket New South Wales chairman John Warn spoke out strongly against any possibility of the ground being modified in that way this week. “I’m here to represent our players. We’re here to produce Australian players and that job is made harder if they’re playing on pitches like you saw in Melbourne,” Warn told the . “We would never want to see that in Sydney. It’s not good for Test cricket. I’ve made it very clear to the [SCG] Trust and to the government that we do not want to ever see a drop-in pitch at the SCG.”We want it to be a pitch that has its own character, which historically has been spin. We’ve seen one or two spinners in every Australian team and touring team and we want to see that continue. We think it would be a sad blight on NSW and Australian cricket if the SCG, the Trust and the government, contemplated moving down this path in the future.”The longtime SCG curator Tom Parker retired at the start of the season and the Trust has restructured management of the turf. Justin Groves, formerly employed at Adelaide Oval, is the new ground manager, while Adam Lewis has been appointed as the SCG curator reporting in to him.

Player Profile: Erling Haaland

Erling Haaland, the Norwegian goal machine, has rapidly risen to prominence in the early stages of his career, captivating fans worldwide with his remarkable talent and goal-scoring prowess.

Born on July 21, 2000, Haaland made his professional debut with Norwegian side Bryne FK in 2016. He began to show just how prolific he was in front of goal during two seasons with Modle in Norway. However, it was his move to Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg in January 2019 that truly marked the start of his meteoric rise.

During his time at Salzburg, Haaland shattered records and etched his name in football history. In the 2019-2020 UEFA Champions League campaign, he became the first player to score in his first five consecutive appearances. His exceptional form earned him a move to German giants Borussia Dortmund in January 2020, where he continued his goalscoring exploits.

Haaland's combination of speed, strength and clinical finishing has resulted in astonishing statistics. His tally of goals in his late teens and early twenties is unparalleled, even drawing comparisons to some of the game's greatest legends. The striker's ability to find the net consistently has propelled him to multiple awards, including the 2020 Golden Boy Award.

Erling Haaland at Molde

Haaland's football journey took a significant step forward during his time at Molde FK in Norway. Joining the club's youth ranks in 2017, he quickly made his mark on the senior team. In his debut season in 2017, he showcased his potential with four goals in his first three appearances.

However, it was in the 2018/2019 season that Haaland truly made waves, finishing as the top scorer in the Norwegian top-flight league, Eliteserien, with 12 goals in 25 appearances. His exceptional performances earned him a move to Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg in January 2019.

Haaland's time at Molde was instrumental in his development as a goalscoring phenomenon, and his achievements there laid the foundation for his subsequent successes.

Erling Haaland at RB Salzburg

Haaland's tenure at RB Salzburg from January 2019 to January 2020 saw him get better and better. The young Norwegian striker made an immediate impact, showcasing his extraordinary talent on the European stage.

In the 2019-2020 UEFA Champions League campaign, Haaland's remarkable feat of scoring eight goals in his first six group stage matches garnered attention worldwide. His blistering pace, physicality and clinical finishing left opponents stunned. This accomplishment, coupled with his earlier achievements, earned him the prestigious Golden Boy award in 2020.

Beyond the Champions League, Haaland's domestic performances were equally impressive. During his time at Salzburg, he scored a total of 29 goals in just 27 appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga. This incredible scoring rate emphasized his prolific nature and established him as one of the hottest young prospects in world football.

One of the most memorable moments of his time at Salzburg came when he scored a hat-trick against Genk in the Champions League, becoming the third-youngest player to achieve this feat in the history of the competition. His time with the Austrian club served as a springboard for his subsequent move to Borussia Dortmund in Germany.

Erling Haaland at Borussia Dortmund

Erling Haaland's arrival at Borussia Dortmund in January 2020 marked the beginning of a new chapter in his burgeoning football career, and the Norwegian sensation continued to build on his already impressive reputation.

Haaland's debut for Borussia Dortmund was nothing short of spectacular, as he scored a hat-trick against FC Augsburg just 23 minutes after coming on as a substitute. This stunning introduction set the tone for his time at the club, as he consistently found the back of the net with astonishing regularity.

In the second half of the 2019-2020 season, Haaland scored an impressive 16 goals in just 18 Bundesliga appearances. His combination of physical strength, lightning-fast pace and clinical finishing made him a nightmare for defenders. He continued to shine in the UEFA Champions League as well, finishing the season with a total of 10 goals in the competition.

The 2020-2021 season saw Haaland's star continue to rise. He maintained his exceptional goal-scoring form, netting 27 goals in 28 Bundesliga matches and 10 goals in the Champions League. His performance against Sevilla in the Round of 16, where he scored both goals in a 2-2 draw, showcased his ability to thrive in high-pressure situations. He ended that season with 41 goals in as many first-team appearances. The following season, he continued his outstanding rate of scoring with 29 goals in just 30 appearances in all competitions.

Haaland's achievements at Borussia Dortmund are highlighted not only by his goal-scoring prowess but also by the numerous records he set during his time in Germany. He became the youngest player in Bundesliga history to reach 25 goals and the quickest to score 20 goals in the competition. His consistency and impact on the team's success earned him the nickname "The Terminator" among fans.

Apart from his individual accomplishments, Haaland's presence and contributions helped Borussia Dortmund secure top-four finishes in the Bundesliga and make notable progress in European competitions. Despite his individual successes, though, he was only able to help Dortmund to one DFB-Pokal trophy during his time at the club.

As one of the most sought-after talents in world football, Haaland's time at Borussia Dortmund was a pivotal phase in his career, so it was no surprise when it was announced he would be joining legendary manager Pep Guardiola at Premier League giants Manchester City in the summer of 2022. He ended his Dortmund career with an astonishing 86 goals in 89 first-team appearances.

Erling Haaland at Manchester City

Haaland joined Man City in July 2022 after the Premier League champions activated his £51.2m release clause.

On his Premier League debut in August, the Norway international scored both goals in a 2-0 win over West Ham and by the end of the month, he already had two hat-tricks to his name after bagging trebles against Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest. By then, it was clear the Premier League had a goalscoring phenomenon on their hands.

Haaland then scored a brace on his Champions League debut for Manchester City, before becoming the first Premier League player in history to score a hat-trick in three successive home games. In doing so, he also set the record for the fastest player to three Premier League hat-tricks, which he achieved in just eight games. The previous record was held by Michael Owen, who reached that milestone in 48 games. By the end of 2022, Haaland already had 20 goals in just 14 Premier League games.

In March 2023, the explosive striker scored five goals in a Champions League clash against RB Leipzig, becoming only the third player to do so after Lionel Messi and Adriano. It was a haul that also took him to 39 goals in all competitions, which broke Man City's club record for most goals scored in a single season, which had been held by Tommy Johnson since 1928/1929.

By the end of his first season in England, Haaland had more records under his belt. His 36 Premier League goals set a record for the most goals scored in a single season, while he also broke the record for most goal contributions (goals & assists) in a single season, previously held by Thierry Henry. On top of all that, the striker won the European Golden Shoe and the Premier League golden boot.

It would prove to be the dream first season for Haaland in England as, on top of all of his personal records, milestones and a record of 52 goals in 53 games, Man City went on to win a historic treble – the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.

At the beginning of his second season at Man City, Haaland netted a brace against Burnley on the opening day of the new Premier League season before Manchester City beat Sevilla on penalties to win their first UEFA Super Cup title, taking Haaland's trophy count to four since his signed for the club 13 months earlier.

To-date, his career record at the age of just 23 is an astonishing 209 goals in 256 first-team club appearances.

Cricket NSW CEO sanctioned for Twitter outburst

Andrew Jones, the Cricket NSW CEO, has been sanctioned in relation to a tweet he sent out following the JLT One-Day Cup match between New South Wales and Victoria on October 15. The proposed sanction – a reprimand and fine of AU $3,000 – is fully suspended, subject to Jones not being found guilty of any further breach of Cricket Australia’s Code of Conduct for the next two years. The match was abandoned due to the pitch at the North Sydney Oval being deemed unsafe, when Victoria were 108 for 4 in 26 overs while chasing 145. By virtue of being 35 runs ahead of the DLS par score, Victoria were awarded the win and a bonus point that took them into the tournament playoffs.Jones took exception to the decision to award Victoria the win, in a series of tweets. “It should be a No Result,” one of them read. “Conditions didn’t change all game so if it was dangerous for one side it was dangerous for the other.”He followed that up with: ” So pitch was safe when @CricketNSWBlues batted? Makes no sense. All officials involved should be fired immediately.”Jones was reported for breaching article level 2.2.3 – Public or media comment that is detrimental to the interests of cricket, irrespective of when or where such comment is made – of the CA code of conduct. He has admitted to the offence and accepted the proposed sanction, with no hearing required.

Wolves: Lopetegui Could Sign "Brutal" £17m-Rated "Monster" To Replace Neves

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested in LaLiga machine Guido Rodriguez, as Julen Lopetegui desperately seeks reinforcements this summer.

The Spaniard has admitted that he is “worried” going into the new season with his current squad, as the Old Gold continue their financial battle despite making numerous sales.

Despite money being inaccessible of late, the Midlands club could still make moves this window.

What’s the latest on Guido Rodriguez to Wolves?

As reported by journalist Rudy Galetti via GIVEMESPORT, Wolves have made contact over the availability of Real Betis midfielder Rodriguez.

Following the first report of interest last week via journalist Cesar Luis Merlo, Galetti said that there have been “some contacts” over the 29-year-old, adding that there is “nothing concrete” to report at this stage.

The Betis star has one year remaining on his current contract at the club and is valued by FootballTransfers around the €20m (£17m) mark.

How good is Guido Rodriguez?

Once lauded as being “brutal defensively” by analyst Marcus Bring, the World Cup winner has been one of Betis’ most important players in the Spaish top-flight.

Last season, the midfielder ranked in the top three of the club’s best-performing players via Sofascore, averaging a match rating of 7.07 in the league.

Deployed in deep midfield, the 29-year-old has a keen eye for fulfilling the defensive duties in the engine room, as highlighted by him winning a monstrous 60% of his total duels in LaLiga, averaging 7.2 per game, via Sofascore.

For Wolves, the contract scenario regarding the Argentine could play into Lopetegui’s favour, as Betis face the decision of whether to extend his contract or cash in this summer to avoid a free transfer next year.

The Spaniard is at a point of desperation to install upgrades at Molineux this window, with the squad not meeting the standards to compete in the Premier League to his beliefs, as per his words during Wolves’ pre-season festivities.

Following the colossal £47m sale of captain Ruben Neves to Al-Hilal earlier this summer, the Old Gold are yet to replace the talent of the Portuguese gem, which is where Loptetegui could seek treasure in Rodriguez.

As two deep-lying midfielders, the duo share similar qualities to their playing style, as highlighted by their numbers accumulated in their respective 2022/23 campaigns via FBref comparisons.

Described as a “monster” by Bring, the Argentine excelled defensively in similar ways to Neves, making 3.60 tackles and 1.32 interceptions per 90 to the former Wolves skippers’ 2.36 tackles and 1.49 interceptions per 90 in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old’s most prominent attribute at Molineux was his assured passing ability in the middle of the park, in which he maintained an average completion rate of 82.1% per 90, succeeded by Rodriguez in LaLiga with 86.7% per 90.

While the Portuguese star came out on top in terms of his progressive play with 6.50 progressive passes per 90 to the Betis sensation's 3.85 per 90, the evidence is there to portray that the 29-year-old could follow such paths as a dominating presence in midfield.

If the finances can locate a path to increase the possibility of reaching common ground with Betis to sanction a move for Rodriguez, Lopetegui could finally locate his heir to Neves and a player that could significantly strengthen the squad’s spine.

Sky Sports share "information" on Lukaku and Chelsea

Chelsea forgotten man Romelu Lukaku is attracting interest from Inter Milan; however, the current offer the Italian giants have on the table to land him is not 'enough' to tempt the Blues to sell the Belgian international, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

Do Inter Milan want to re-sign Romelu Lukaku?

According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter Milan are set to submit a new bid for Lukaku worth between €30-35 million following news that their offer to Chelsea of €25 million was turned down by the Stamford Bridge club.

Chelsea are holding out for €40 million; however, Lukaku is believed to be desperate to rejoin Inter Milan this summer and return to the San Siro despite alternative interest from Saudi Arabia.

The Daily Mail have reported that Chelsea have agreed to push back Lukaku's proposed return to training at Cobham until next Monday as the £178k-a-week ace looks to seal a permanent move away from the club.

Christian Pulisic, Pierre-Emerick Aubamayeng and Hakim Ziyech are also set to be granted an extended leave as the Blues try to offload the unwanted trio, with Mauricio Pochettino keen to trim his squad before flying out with his side to the United States on a pre-season tour.

Interest in Lukaku from Saudi Arabia is said to be from Al-Hilal, while Inter Milan's Serie A rivals Juventus are looking to steal a march on their rivals to sign the experienced forward, as per The Guardian.

Former Everton striker Lukaku is now warming to potentially moving to join the football revolution in the Middle East, having previously been averse to the idea.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Sky Sports reporter Sheth thinks that Inter Milan will need to up their bid if they want to land Lukaku this window.

Sheth stated: “Now, the latest information we’ve got at Sky Sports News is that they think that Inter Milan are trying to put a deal together that’s worth around €35m. I don’t think that’s going to be enough for Chelsea to sell Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan and in the background, you’ve got interest from Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and also Juventus have held initial talks with Romelu Lukaku.

“That could just be a moot point because of the desire of the player to go to one particular club that might work against Chelsea, because if he only wants to go to Inter Milan and nowhere else, sometimes that can bring the valuation of a player down.”

Should Chelsea let Romelu Lukaku leave Stamford Bridge?

Despite Lukaku evidently having quality, the time is right for both parties to shake hands and go their separate ways owing to a disappointing second spell for the Belgian at Chelsea after joining for £97.5 million in 2021, as per Sky Sports.

His goal return for the Blues in his second spell is best described as okay but unremarkable. Lukaku has notched 15 goals and two assists in 44 appearances across all competitions, as per Transfermarkt.

Returning to Inter Milan on loan last term, he registered 14 goals and seven assists in 37 outings for the Italian giants. It seems a reunion between the two permanently would make sense for everyone.

Chelsea fans won't be disappointed if the club can recoup a good fee for Lukaku and will be looking forward to seeing how new attackers Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson can fit into Pochettino's tactical framework this season.
