What’s the word?

That’s according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, who delivered a fresh update on the 25-year-old’s situation after he was left out of the squad to face Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

“Dele Alli left out of Tottenham squad for Chelsea today in last game before transfer window shuts a week tomorrow. #THFC open to 25yo midfielder moving on loan (contract 2024). No appealing offers yet – good chance it happens late,” he tweeted alongside an accompanying article.

Whilst the north Londoners are yet to receive any sort of offer that is appealing, it’s thought that it would be a pretty straightforward deal to complete, so if it rumbles on towards deadline day, it will be no issue.

Once tipped to be worth over £100m back in 2017, the 37-cap England international is now valued at just £22.5m by Transfermarkt.

Time’s up?

Things have quickly gone from bad to worse for Alli.

He struggled to make much of a mark under Jose Mourinho, who branded him “lazy” in training, last season and it was easy to dismiss this as another one of the Portuguese’s antics after his relationship with Paul Pogba at Manchester United.

But now he’s hardly featured for Nuno Santo or Antonio Conte this season, going from an England regular and the “best 21-year-old in the world”, according to Mauricio Pochettino several years ago, to a bit-part backup for a side that was knocked out of the Europa Conference League group stages.

But since then, it’s a frustrating tale of just nine goals and six assists in the last two-and-a-half years of league action, leaving much of the Lilywhites faithful angry with his attitude and poor form.

According to the reporter’s sources, West Ham are now ‘expected’ to make an offer for the 20-year-old as contact is made with the player’s entourage.

He explained on Twitter: “West Ham and Newcastle are interested in Benoît Badiashile. Contact made with Monaco and the player’s entourage. West Ham is expected to make an offer.”

The Verdict: Get it done

Badishile stands out as one of the most promising young defenders in Europe, even drawing comparisons with France international Raphael Varane.

Still young and with plenty of years ahead of him in his career, the Monaco defender would also come to east London with real potential for sell-on value, and he already possesses a wealth of experience at the top level.

Having played more than 100 senior matches already in his career, it’s little wonder Aouna has claimed that the 20-year-old is now top of West Ham’s transfer shortlist.

وعلق رئيس نادي برايتون، توني بلوم، على الأمر في تصريحات لموقع ناديه الرسمي، وقال: “نحن نشعر بالحزن والدمار بسبب ما حدث مع مويبو، لقد مر هو وعائلته بأسابيع صادمة، بينما نشعر بالامتنان على كل ما قدمه لنا في الفترة الماضية وسندعمه ونسانده بصفته لاعبنا”.

وتحدث مدرب برايتون، روبرتو دي زيربي، عن مويبو وقال: “آسف جدًا لإينوك، قبل وصولي لتدريب الفريق، كنت أراه متحمسًا للغاية وأتطلع للعمل معه، سنفعل كل ما في وسعنا لمساعدته”.

وطبيب الفريق، آدم بريت، قال: “ضربة مروعة لمويبو، لكن عليه أن يضع صحته وعائلته في المقام الأول، هذا هو الخيار الصحيح، مهما كان القرار الصعب باعتزال كرة القدم مبكرًا والتي بالتأكيد يحبها، لكن القرار خرج بعد دراسة متأنية للغاية لأنه مهم ومصيري ولا يمكن الاستخفاف به”.

أصيب مويبو بالمرض أثناء المعسكر الدولي الماضي مع زامبيا، وبعد فترة مكثها في مستشفى في مالي عاد إلى برايتون للخضوع لمزيد من الفحوصات على القلب.

ونتج عن تلك الفحوصات أن مرض مويبو ناتج عن حالة قلبية وراثية تظهر في وقت لاحق من مستقبله ولم تظهر من قبل في فحص القلب المنتظم قبل بداية كل موسم، لكن حالته من الممكن أن تتفاقم إذا استمر في المستطيل الأخضر، لذلك حفاظًا على سلامته سيتوقف عن اللعب.

O time sub-20 do Vasco já está em preparação para a Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior do ano que vem. Com os comandos do técnico Marcus Alexandre, a equipe faz diariamente atividades no Centro de Treinamento Almirante Heleno Nunes de olho na estreia diante do Juventus (SP), no dia 2 de janeiro de 2018, no estádio Municipal José Batista Pereira Fernandes, em Diadema (SP). Para ajudar na caminhada do título, nomes já profissionais do Cruz-Maltino devem disputar o torneio.

Esta descida de jogadores do profissional para os juniores foi um pedido do técnico Zé Ricardo. Nomes como o lateral-esquerdo Alan Cardoso, o volante Andrey e o atacante Paulo Vitor são exemplos de atletas que vinham integrados ao time adulto e podem ir para o sub-20 pela Copa São Paulo. Isto tem como um dos objetivos manter o ritmo de 2017: os juniores do Vasco foram o mais vitorioso do Rio de Janeiro na temporada, conquistando os títulos da Taça Guanabara, Taça Rio e do Campeonato Carioca.

O técnico Marcus Alexandre conta que Alan, Andrey e Paulo Victor estão inscritos na competição, mas ainda não tem a confirmação de que eles vão descer para jogar a Copinha. Segundo o treinador do sub-20 cruz-maltino, seria importante para o time e para os garotos a participarem da competição.

-Os meninos foram inscritos, mas nós não temos a confirmação de que vão atuar. Seria muito importante a presença deles, porque a equipe ganha uma experiência muito grande. O Paulo Vitor foi artilheiro da Copa do Brasil e do Carioca (ambos da categoria sub-20), o Andrey vai dar uma experiência muito grande e segurança ao meio-campo, o Alan também por toda sua capacidade técnica e liderança no grupo. Além disso, a gente ajudaria esses três meninos a terem ritmo de jogo e de competição, porque tenho certeza que eles vão ser aproveitados no Carioca – disse Marcus Alexandre, contando como está a preparação do grupo.

– Nossa preparação tem sido muito boa. A gente vem traçando objetivos dentro dela, e desde o início vem atingindo eles passo a passo. Para a estreia no dia 2, ainda tem alguns aspectos que o time precisa evoluir, mas tenho certeza que vamos conseguir. Esse time é muito ofensivo, essa vai ser a principal característica. A gente vem exigindo muita movimentação, triangulação e finalizações. Principalmente finalizações, que deixamos a desejar na OPG e sabemos que lá na Copinha um dos critérios de desempate é o saldo de gols. Isso mostra a importância de estar fazendo gols dentro da partida. Então, estamos cobrando muito isso dos atletas e já está tendo evolução nesse fundamento – completou.

Leeds United are going through one of the worst injury crisis’ the Premier League has seen so far this season, and although they seem to be over the worst with key players returning to training, Marcelo Bielsa faces a dilemma with bringing players back at the right time.

What’s the word?

Bielsa spoke in a press conference yesterday ahead of the game against Burnley on Sunday, to put huge doubt on the selection of Patrick Bamford in the line up for the upcoming game due to lack of training;

“This is the fourth week since Patrick’s injury,” said the Argentine manager.

“Patrick is healthy but he hasn’t played for four weeks now.

“That puts him into doubt the convenience of him playing because of not doing any football training sessions.”

Bamford did speak out on Thursday to tease fans of the potential to see him back in action on Sunday, but with Bielsa’s comments yesterday it would be surprising to see the striker back in the starting line up at Elland Road tomorrow.

Fans will be gutted

It is no surprise that the Leeds manager is seemingly apprehensive about starting the forward this weekend due to the plague of injuries in the squad, rushing Bamford back into games could be a huge risk to his fitness, especially after the comments from Bielsa confirming his lack of training sessions.

Fans will obviously be gutted because they are well aware of the impact the 28 year old has on the side, and will be keen to get the prolific goal scorer back into action due to the vulnerable position Leeds United find themselves in, in the league right now.

One fan tweeted with hope that the Leeds star striker, would be back for the clash tomorrow, along with many other players;

Last season, Bamford fourth highest scoring player in the Premier League last season alongside Son Heung-Min.

The Whites have the opportunity to put a gap between themselves and relegation battling Burnley on Sunday, with a win extending their gap with the drop zone by 8 points, which means that this game is really important for the side and could be a really crucial win for them going into the second half of the season.

Aston Villa fan feed Villa Report has shared an image of new signing Philippe Coutinho seemingly on his way to Birmingham. 

The screenshot, taken from the Instagram story of the 29-year-old’s wife Ainee, shows the player on the flight to England.

Villa announced on Friday that they had agreed a deal with Barcelona to take the Brazil international on loan until the end of the season. In the summer, they will then have an option, rather than an obligation, to buy him for a fee of £33m.

The excitement around Coutinho

This will be Coutinho’s second spell in English football after his earlier stint at Liverpool. The Brazilian scored 54 goals and provided 45 assists in 201 appearances across five years at Anfield.

His last loan move, which took him to Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich in 2019/20, saw him win the Champions League.

Furthermore, Coutinho has previously been named in the PFA Team of the Year, the World Cup Fan Dream Team and the Europa League Squad of the Season, while Barcelona spent a cool £142m to bring him to La Liga four years ago, so that illustrates the stature of player that Villa are getting.

وتابع: “لقد غيرنا هيكل الرواتب بالكامل، من وجود لاعبين يحصلون على أموال أقل من السوق وأصبح لدينا متوسط أعمار مثالي مع توقعات كبيرة لمستقبلهم وهذا أمر مهم”.

وأضاف: “دون أن نبدو متغطرسون، لقد أنقذنا برشلونة ولكننا لسنا في أفضل وضع ممكن وهناك حاجة إلى المزيد من التقشف والصرامة وهناك الكثير من العمل الذي يتعين القيام به، سيكون برشلونة في وضع أفضل في الخمس سنوات المقبلة، اعتقد أن في موسم 2024/2025 سنكون في المكانة التي نستحقها”.

Com o título brasileiro garantido desde a última quarta-feira, o Corinthians intensificou o planejamento para a próxima temporada. O técnico Fábio Carille quer reforços, mas diz que não espera “cereja”.

– Trazer peças depende muito da parte financeira. Não dá para falar sobre isso, minha maior preocupação é manter esse grupo o máximo possível e fortalecê-lo. Não estou esperando “cereja”, sei da situação financeira do Corinthians. Estou esperando equilibrar mais o time para o ano que vem – afirmou Carille em entrevista coletiva após a derrota por 3 a 0 para o Flamengo.

Sobre as possíveis saídas, Carille evitou comentar. O técnico disse, porém, que ainda conta com Guilherme Arana para o restante da temporada. O lateral-esquerdo está perto de fechar com o Sevilla (ESP) e não foi relacionado para o jogo contra o Flamengo.

– É difícil comentar, está tudo no ar. Para sair alguém, tem que chegar alguém. Então não vou “tirar” ninguém do Corinthians. Chegando alguém, não dá para ficar com 40 jogadores no elenco. Não posso falar de alguém sair antes de alguém chegar – disse Carille.

Para o jogo contra o Flamengo, além de Arana, também não foram relacionados os meias Rodriguinho e Jadson. O lateral-direito Fagner, por sua vez, viajou ao Rio de Janeiro, mas ficou no banco de reservas.

– Os jogadores que ficaram lá vinham se arrastando com dores. Rodriguinho no púbis, Jadson no tendão… Ficaram porque estavam cansados e com dores. Temos de tomar cuidado nesse momento – declarou Carille.

Após o jogo contra o Flamengo, o elenco ganha folga na segunda e terça-feira. O jogo contra o Atlético-MG será realizado no próximo domingo, às 17h, na Arena Corinthians.
